Welcome to a community dedicated to empowering adults with hearing difficulty. At our heart, we're on a mission to foster communication skills that transcend challenges, ensuring no one faces the silent struggles of deafness alone.

Our Mission

At Trafford Hard of Hearing Group, our mission is to create a harmonious and inclusive space where individuals with hearing difficulties find support, understanding, and empowerment. We are committed to promoting inclusivity, facilitating connections and enhancing lives through our weekly classes.

THHG are such a welcoming bunch of people, I thoroughly enjoyed learning how to lip read and found the subjects discussed in class enthralling

Our Focus

  • Inclusive Support: We strive to embrace the uniqueness of each individual, fostering an inclusive community that celebrates diversity in hearing experiences.

  • Communication Empowerment: Our commitment is to equip our members with the skills and tools to navigate a world that sometimes seems too quiet. From lipreading to sign language, we empower individuals to express themselves confidently.

  • Social Connection: Recognising the potential for isolation, we actively promote social engagement. Through events, gatherings, and a supportive network, we build bridges that connect hearts and combat the solitude that hearing difficulties can bring.

  • Advocacy and Awareness: We work tirelessly to advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with hearing difficulties to create a more accessible and understanding society. Our goal is to raise awareness about the challenges faced by our community and foster a culture of empathy.

  • Lifelong Learning: We believe in the power of continuous learning. Resources and educational opportunities empower our members to adapt, grow, and thrive in their unique hearing journeys.
